A defining moment in the project was rediscovering the iconic globe symbol located at Al-Shuwaikh Secondary School — a symbol that has remained in place since the 1960s. This emblem represents knowledge, ambition, and the historical roots of AASU’s journey. We chose to embed this symbol into the new identity as an abstracted, modern interpretation that preserves its legacy while elevating it for the next generation.
The redesigned logo stands as a bridge between past and future — honoring heritage while signaling AASU’s readiness to engage with the global academic community. This new identity positions the university with confidence, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
The rebranding process focused on translating the university’s values into a cohesive and contemporary visual system. Every element — from typography and color to symbol design and graphic language — was crafted to reflect progress, excellence, and openness to the world.
