Google Analytics, only if you accept

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages people read. It loads only after you tap "Accept" in the cookie box. If you tap "Decline", or make no choice, it does not load and sets no cookies.

When it runs, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_0PPM1KV2MW. Google receives the pages you open, the page or link that brought you here, your device type, browser, screen size and language, and an approximate location that Google works out from your IP address.

We also count clicks on our WhatsApp, email, phone and chat buttons, with the type of button and the page. We do not see what you write in those apps.

Google handles this data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you decline later, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are deleted from this site.

Mai, our chat assistant

The chat button at the bottom of each page opens Mai, an AI chat assistant run by Prismic (widget.prismic.cc and api.prismic.cc). When you write to Mai, your messages, and any name, phone number or email you choose to type, are sent to Prismic so that Mai can answer you.

So that the chat works, Mai stores these items in your browser: a note that you have visited before (written when any page loads, before you open the chat); a chat session number (also written when a page loads); messages you typed that were not delivered yet (kept for up to 24 hours); your chat language, light or dark display and high-contrast choices; and a copy of the chat's display settings (refreshed every hour). For the open browser tab only, it also notes whether the chat opened by itself and whether you continued an earlier chat. If we ever show different greeting texts, it stores which one you saw; prismic.media does not do this today.

If your browser language is one used in Europe (for example German, French or Spanish), the chat shows its own question about storage and keeps your answer in a cookie named ajeeb_consent for one year.

The chat window loads its font from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

Mai answers with artificial intelligence. Please do not share sensitive personal information, such as health or financial details, in the chat.

WhatsApp, email and phone

Our WhatsApp, email and phone links open apps outside this website. Some WhatsApp links fill in a first message with the page you came from; you can change it before you send. What you send is handled by those services (for example WhatsApp, run by Meta) and by us when we reply.

Videos

Some case pages have a YouTube video. It loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you tap Play. YouTube (Google) then receives your IP address, and its own privacy policy applies.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server records each request: the IP address, the date and time, the page, the browser and the referring page. We use these records to run and protect the website.
